    How to Cook Tilapia on a Griddle

    Griddles are a suitable alternative for grilling inside or cooking without a stove. Use either a griddle placed on top of the stove or an electric griddle, which just needs to be plugged into an outlet. There are many foods that can be cooked on a griddle, including tilapia. Tilapia is a mild, white fish that is harvested from fresh water or grown in farms. This rich source of protein cooks up quickly on a griddle. Cooking tilapia on a griddle provides a healthy, light meal that goes well with rice and vegetables.

    Step 1

    Place the tilapia on a workable, flat surface, such as a shallow dish.

    Step 2

    Preheat a griddle to medium heat.

    Step 3

    Rub 1 tbsp. of olive oil all over the tilapia.

    Step 4

    Season both sides of the tilapia with your favorite herbs and spices.

    Step 5

    Spray non-stick cooking spray on the griddle, if you are using a griddle that does not have a non-stick surface.

    Step 6

    Put the tilapia on the griddle and cook for 3 minutes on each side.
