    4 Ways to Tell if an Ankle is Wrapped too Tight

    Circulation to the injured area is crucial to the healing process. There are a number of warning signs that you are cutting down the circulation to your ankle with a too tight compression wrap. Wiggle your toes and take a good look. A properly wrapped ankle will leave toes your regular skin tone color. Blue or purple toes indicate that the wrap is too tight. Feel above the wrap, below the wrap and check your toes. The skin should not be cool or cold to the touch. Numbness and tingling in these areas are also signs of reduced circulation.
