Directions for Applying Tea Tree Oil to Hair after Showering
Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves of a tree species that is native to Australia. Despite its name, tea tree oil actually has no relationship to the tea we drink. Its antiseptic properties are used as a way to treat a variety of infections. But tea tree oil isn't just a good non-traditional medicine; it also has benefits for your dry hair, oily hair and itchy scalp. So, after stepping out of the shower, grab some tea tree oil to give your strands a little extra love.

Shampoo and condition your hair as usual. Towel dry and brush or comb your hair.
Step 2
Drip about 10 drops of tea tree oil into the palm of your hand, and rub your hands together lightly to disperse the oil. Massage the oil into your scalp, then work it through the strands of your hair. Use more or less tea tree oil, depending on the length and thickness of your hair.
Step 3
Dry and style your hair as usual.
