List of Carb Counts for Pizza

Carbohydrates are an important factor in any diet. Many people who want to lose weight quickly go on no-carb or low-carb diets because it results in a reduction of insulin production, and the body uses its stored fat and protein as its main energy sources. As a result, it's important to know the carb counts of any food you eat, including pizza.

    Cheese Pizza, 7-inch Slice

In a typical slice of cheese pizza that is served at the average high school or pizzeria, there are 71 g of carbohydrates. For someone who is on a low-carb or no-carb diet, a slice of cheese pizza is to be avoided. However, if the person has an athletic contest like a football or basketball game coming up, two or three slices of cheese pizza will provide plenty of opportunities to provide energy for the ensuing sporting event.

    Pepperoni Pizza, 7-inch Slice

In a typical slice of pepperoni pizza served for lunch at a high school or at a pizzeria, there are 69 g of carbohydrates. The pepperoni pizza also provides protein, which can be used to build muscle. The individual on the low-carb or no-carb diet will want to avoid pepperoni pizza.

    Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust

One slice of Pizza Hut's large stuffed crust pizza contains 360 calories, 13 g of fat, 18 g of protein and 43 g of carbohydrates. The carbohydrate level may seem high, but it is less than the carb count in many pizzas sold in high school cafeterias as well as local pizzerias.
