    O'Doul's Nutrition Information

It can be tough to get through a night out with friends if they plan to drink heavily and you aren't in the mood. One option is to sip a soft drink, but if you enjoy the taste of beer but don't wish to consume much alcohol, O'Doul's might be another option. This brand of beer is available in two flavors, O'Doul's and O'Doul's Amber, but each has just a trace amount of alcohol.

    O'Doul's Nutrient Profile

O'Doul's is a golden-colored beer with a sweet, mild taste and a dry finish. A 12-ounce serving of O'Doul's contains 0.4 percent alcohol by volume, 65 calories and 13.3 grams of carbohydrates. Per 12 ounces, this type of beer is one of the lowest-calorie beers that Anheuser-Busch produces.

    O'Doul's Amber

As its name indicates, O'Doul's Amber has an amber color. It also has a slightly spicy aroma with a hop-flavored finish. A 12-ounce serving of O'Doul's Amber has 0.4 percent alcohol by volume, 90 calories and 18 grams of carbohydrates. Although it's higher in calories than O'Doul's, its caloric content is still among the lowest of Anheuser-Busch beers.

    Beer Flavor Without Much Alcohol

Even though they're nonalcoholic, either type of O'Doul's still provides the flavor you might expect in a regular beer. The brewing process of O'Doul's is similar to other types of beer, but a low-temperature distillation process removes the majority of the beverage's alcohol. Using a low temperature for this process allows the beer to retain its full flavor profile.

    Don't Overindulge

Don't view the low-alcohol nature of either type of O'Doul's beer as an excuse to overindulge. Although you'd likely have to drink a significant number of bottles for the beer's alcohol content to negatively affect your judgment, excess beer consumption can significantly raise your caloric intake -- even when the beer is comparatively low in calories.
